Startup pitch night – 10/24/18 – Swissnex

Join us at Pier 17 for the 2018 Swisscom Startup Night! Expect an evening filled with pitches, networking and a chance to gain insights into Switzerland’s digital nation in the heart of Europe.

As part of this event, swissnex San Francisco welcomes the winners of Swisscom’s annual StartUp Challenge. The 5 winners pitch at the Swisscom Startup Night event, organized by event partners Swisscom and venturelab.

The 5 startups have been chosen by a jury consisting of members of the Swisscom Group Executive Board, Swisscom Ventures and external business angels and investors from over 230 applicants.

The entrepreneurs fly to the Bay Area for a one-week roadshow in October to accelerate their expansion into the U.S. market and build an exceptional business network through meeting investors and industry leaders in Silicon Valley, showcasing Switzerland as a deep tech nation.

AAAccell (Link)

New very sophisticated quant engine, maybe better than Blackrock’s Aladdin, developed from 2 former bank CEO’s and 11 professors from ETH, University of Zurich, Columbia University New York and others.

Dotphoton (Link)

Dotphoton is an image compression solution for professional applications: it makes RAW images up to 10 times smaller with a strong guarantee that quality is preserved, saving a corresponding amount of time and money and enabling the next generation of high quality imaging solutions in photography, cinema, AI, biomedical and aerospace.

Sentifi (Link)

ROVENSO designs, manufactures and markets agile robots for security monitoring in any environment. The robot is ideal to perform autonomous patrolling for security monitoring both outside AND inside big industrial sites. Its embedded AI performs anomaly detection with the help of its multimodal sensor fusion (3D mapping, night vision, sound analysis, gas sensing, etc.)

Exeon Analytics (Link)

Our ExeonTrace security analytics software analyzes specific network data. ExeonTrace’s big data algorithms and machine learning extract hidden information from millions of network records. This enables the quick detection and containment of data breaches caused by sophisticated cyber-attackers as well as browser plugins and other software that put sensitive data at risk.
